GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Junckers Parquet Glue is a fast hardening elastic glue with drum-sound reducing properties. The glue hardens solely with the help of the air's humidity. Does not contain water, isocyanate or organic solvents.

For gluing of Junckers hardwood floors:
Solid 14 and 22 mm 2-strip parquet.
Solid 15 and 20.5 mm plank.
Single staves.
Engineered 1- and 3-strip floors.

Junckers Parquet Glue can be applied to most subfloors, like concrete, steel, aluminium and wood. For Anhydrite- and asphalt subfloors Junckers Liquid Moisture
Barrier must be used as a primer before application of glue.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Moisture requirements, subfloors:
Before the floor is laid, ensure that the residual moisture content of the subfloor is no higher than 75% RH. If the residual moisture content is higher than recommended, and in case of underfloor heating, Junckers Liquid Moisture Barrier, see H 6.5, must be used. The underfloor heating system must be switched off while the floor is being laid.

The moisture content of wooden subfloors must be in balance with the relative humidity of the room, i.e. 6-12% moisture content.

Pre treatment:
The surface must be clean, dry and level, i.e. 2 mm under a 1.5 m straight edge (UK: 2 mm under a 2 m straight edge), (US: 3/16" in 10 ft.). The temperature of the room must be +18°C to +22°C (64°F to 72°F) and the humidity 35% RH to 65% RH. All work with aqueous materials such as painting of walls, mounting of tiles, etc. must be completed and dry.

Application:
The glue is applied with Junckers glue spatula, which leaves a thin layer of glue on the floor between the glue tracks. The spatula is held at an angle of under 45° and turned, so that the side marked 2 is facing downwards.

Quantity of glue:
Use approx. 0.5-0.6 l per m² (US: 1 gallon per 60 sq. ft.) depending on the absorption of the underlay and its structure and levelness.

Mounting:
The floorboard is mounted in the wet glue and pressed down firmly to achieve full contact between glue and the wood floor. Mounting must be concluded within 40 minutes. Any surface treatment must be performed at the earliest after 48 hours.

Cleaning instructions:
Please maintain a good level of cleanliness. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Any glue in contact with the skin must be removed using a hand cleaner. Clean tools with a soft cloth immediately after use, or mechanically after hardening.

Storability: Maximum 1 year in a sealed, closed container.

Supplementary products: Junckers Spatulas.
